    When we lived in Virginia and worked in Washington, DC, I became friends with Debbie (the receptionist at HG Smithy Property Mgmt Co). She made this terrific quiche and shared the recipe with me.

    List of Ingredients




    1 partially baked 9 inch pie shell
    1 cup finely chopped onion
    6 slices bacon
    1 1/2 cups grated swiss cheese
    1 cup milk
    3 eggs
    1/4 tsp. salt and pepper
    1/4 cup nonfat dry milk powder
    paprika

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    Saute bacon until crisp and remove from pan. Saute onion in bacon fat. Place in bottom of pie shell with bacon. Sprinkle cheese over top.

    Mix eggs, milk, milk powder and salt and pepper. Pour into shell. Sprinkle with paprika.

    Bake 25 - 30 minutes, until slightly puffed and lightly browned.



    ***Can add broccoli, asparagus or any other vegetables as desired.
