Vegetarian Three-Bean Chili

Recipe Introduction
When looking for a recipe for a "pod" party we were having in Narrowsburg, I needed a vegetarian recipe. After searching the web, I found a few I thought sounded interesting, and I added a few touches.
List of Ingredients
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 onion, chopped
1 (15 oz.) can black beans, drained
1 (15 oz.) can pinto beans, drained
1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans, drained
All canned beans should be rinsed also
1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained
1 cup vegetable broth
1 green pepper, seeded and diced
2 tbsp. chili powder
2 tsp. ground cumin
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
Recipe
In a pot heat olive oil over medium high heat. Saute onions until soft, about 5 minutes.
Stir in all the remaining ingredients, mix well and reduce h eat.
Cover and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes stirring occasionally. Serve hot.
***Sometimes I've added a jar of salsa and it's added a lot of flavor!!
