    Sugar Cookies

    This recipe produces A LOT of cookies... very pretty with different colored sugars for holidays. Dough can also be colored. Requires several hours of refrigeration.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup butter
    • 1 cup powdered sugar
    • 1 cup granulated sugar
    • 2 eggs, beaten
    • 3/4 cup oil
    • 4 cups flour
    • 1 tsp. baking soda
    • 2 tsp. vanilla
    • pinch of salt
    • 1 tsp. cream of tartar - optional


    Instructions


    1. Mix ingredients in the order listed.
    2. Chill for several hours.
    3. Make into balls and flatten with an oiled glass dipped in colored sugar (or sprinkle with sugar after flattening).
    4. Bake at 350 dgrees for 7 minutes or until tops of cookies crack slightly.
