List of Ingredients
- 1/2 pound butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup chopped almonds
- 5 - 8 oz Hershey bar
- chopped almonds
Instructions
- Cook butter and sugar over medium heat until starts to get a taffy consistancy
- Add chopped almonds continue stirring,
until it reaches 300 degrees hard crack stage on a candy thermometer.
- Pour out unto a cookie sheet that has been warmed slightly. Spread the almond roca by turning pan.
- You have to work quickly at this stage it hardens fast.Depending on how it spreads you will get thin or thick roca.
- While it is still hot place Hershey bar squares on top let it sit for a few minutes then spread chocolate all over top.
- Sprinkle with nuts. Let sit for several hours. Loosen from pan and turn over and put chocolate and nuts over the top.
- Break into pieces. YUM!!!!
