    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 pound butter
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 3/4 cup chopped almonds
    • 5 - 8 oz Hershey bar
    • chopped almonds


    Instructions


    1. Cook butter and sugar over medium heat until starts to get a taffy consistancy
    2. Add chopped almonds continue stirring,
      until it reaches 300 degrees hard crack stage on a candy thermometer.
    3. Pour out unto a cookie sheet that has been warmed slightly. Spread the almond roca by turning pan.
    4. You have to work quickly at this stage it hardens fast.Depending on how it spreads you will get thin or thick roca.
    5. While it is still hot place Hershey bar squares on top let it sit for a few minutes then spread chocolate all over top.
    6. Sprinkle with nuts. Let sit for several hours. Loosen from pan and turn over and put chocolate and nuts over the top.
    7. Break into pieces. YUM!!!!
