Red Cabbage Saute

List of Ingredients
- 2 lb. red cabbage, shredded to make 6 cups
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup sliced ,Bermuda onion
- 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1 heaping tsp. Caraway seeds
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- In large skillet melt butter. Add shredded cabbage and onions and saute until onions are soft. about 10 - 12 minutes
- Then add vinegar firmly packed brown sugar and spices.Bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer
- Cover shillet let simmer about 20 - 25 minutes until cabbage is tender.
- Can be made one hour ahead then reheated when time to serve.
