    Crab Wonton Appetizers

    Make ahead and freeze.

    List of Ingredients

    3 tablespoons cornstarch to dust waxed paper
    1 can (8-oz.) crabmeat, drained
    1 package 8-ounce cream cheese, softened
    2 tablespoons green onion, minced (include some tops)
    1/2 teaspoon Accent (msg)
    1 (1 lb. pkg.) wonton skins (about 60)
    1/4 cup vegetable oil or more to fry wontons


    1. Lightly dust waxed paper with cornstarch.
    2. Set aside. Cream softened cream cheese.
    3. Thoroughly blend crab, green onions and Accent and cream cheese.
    4. Place 3/4 tsp. in center of each wonton skin.
    5. Moisten the edges with water.
    6. Fold into a triangle.
    7. Press edges to seal.
    8. Set on waxed paper in a single layer and cover.
    9. Refrigerate or freeze until ready to fry.
    10. Fry a few at a time in vegetable oil 365 degrees F. until golden.
    11. Turn once. Place on paper towel to drain.
    12. Serve hot.
    13. To hold, place in single layer on cookie sheets in warm 200 F. oven until all are fried.
    Yield: 5 dozen.
