    THERIOT COUSINS DO THE COOKIN' Cookbook -- New Martinville, LA

    List of Ingredients




    2 lb. shrimp, cleaned
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 large onion, minced
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 Tbsp minced green pepper
    1 Tbsp flour
    8 oz. tomato sauce
    1 1/2 to 2 cans water
    2 Tbsp. minced parsley
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp pepper
    1/8 tsp cayenne pepper

    Heat oil over medium heat; add onion and cook until soft (6 to 8 minutes) stir in garlic and green pepper; saute 2 minutes. Blend in flour. Add tomato sauce and simmer 5 minutes. Stir in water, parsley, shrimp, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Serve over rice. Serves 4.
