Recipe sounds like one I use to make back in the 1950's.
List of Ingredients
2 cups finely shredded cabbage
1 cup diced marshmallows
1 cup diced pineapple
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 tbsp. white vinegar
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. flour
dash of salt
1 egg white
1 cup whipping cream
Recipe
Combine the cabbage, pineapple, marshmallows and nuts. Chill while preparing dressing. Combine lemon juice, vinegar, sugar, flour and salt and cook over boiling water, stirring until slightly thick. Cool. Beat egg whites until stiff. Beat whipping cream until stiff and fold in the egg whites. Carefully combine with cooled sauce. Fold into cabbage mixture and chill thoroughly. Serve in lettuce cups or in salad bowls and garnish with greens.
Serves 6 to 8.
