    This one is for Belinda, Queen of Dr Pepper!

    List of Ingredients




    1/2 lb. butter (2 sticks)
    1 cup Dr Pepper (taken from 12-oz. can, reserve remainder for the
    icing)
    2 cups all-purpose flour
    1/4 cup cocoa powder
    1 1/2 tsps. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 cups granulated sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 cup buttermilk
    2 tsps. vanilla
    Dr Pepper Icing (recipe follows)


    1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9x13-inch
    baking pan.
    2. Put butter and Dr Pepper in a glass bowl and microwave on full
    power until the butter melts.
    3. Combine the melted butter and Dr Pepper with the rest of the
    ingredients and beat until smooth. The cake batter is very thin.
    4. Pour into a baking pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until cake
    tests done. Remove cake from oven and pour Dr Pepper Icing over while
    still warm. Cool and serve. Cover leftover cake with plastic wrap and
    store in refrigerator.


    DR PEPPER ICING

    1/4 lb. butter (1 stick)
    1/2 cup Dr Pepper
    6 tbls. cocoa powder
    1 cup chopped pecans
    2 tsps. vanilla
    2 lbs. confectioners' sugar

    1. Heat the butter and Dr Pepper together in the microwave until
    butter melts, but do not boil.
    2. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well
