Mushrooms and Noodles
List of Ingredients
4 tablespoons butter -- divided
1 pound fresh mushrooms -- sliced
1/2 cup minced onion
8 oz. medium width egg noodles -- cooked
1 cup sour cream
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 cup soft bread crumbs
Melt 3 tablespoons butter; add mushrooms and onion.
Saute 5 minutes.
Combine mushroom mixture with noodles, sour cream, pepper and salt.
Spoon into 2 quart casserole.
In small saucepan melt remaining butter.
Stir in bread crumbs.
Spoon over edge of casserole.
Bake in preheated 400 degrees oven 5
minutes or until hot.
Note:
For a meat dish, add 1 pound cooked chicken breasts or
white turkey meat with 1 teaspoon mustard added to mushroom
mixture.
