German-Style Potatoes

2 slices bacon
1/4 cup chopped green onions
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. vinegar cider
1 can sliced potatoes, drained
1/4 teaspoon celery seeds
Heat a medium-size skillet over medium-high heat. Cook bacon for 2-3 minutes or until crisp. Remove bacon and place on paper towels to drain, reserving 1 tablespoon of bacon drippings in skillet; chop bacon and set aside. Heat drippings over medium-high heat. Add onion and cook for 2 minutes. Add sugar, vinegar and 1/2 cup water. Bring onion mixture to a boil and add potatoes. Season potato mixture to taste with salt and pepper. Reduce heat to medium heat and continue to cook for 5 more minutes or until potatoes are heated throughout.
Before servings, sprinkle potatoes with chopped bacon and celery seeds.
