    Homemade Salisbury Steak

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 pound of hamburger (more if larger family)
    • 1 Can of cream of mushroom soup
    • 12-15 saltine crackers crushed and or osyter soup crackers crushed
    • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
    • 1/4 Cup water


    Instructions


    1. Mix together hamburger, crushed crackers, pepper and 3/4 can of mushroom soup.

    2. Form into patties and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes checking to see if they are still pink inside if so, cook a little longer and check again. (you may or may not want to spray bottom of cassrole dish with these--probably won't be necessary due to draining of grease.)

    3. Mix the rest of the soup with 1/4 cup of water or milk your choice. When meat is no longer pink spoon and or pour mixture on top of patties; and bake for 10 more minutes until hot. :-)



    Final Comments


    This casserole dish to cook for a family of 6 costs approxmiately 3.00
    but, you need your veggies and filler to go with your meat~see our potato casserole to go with this recipe.
