    Meal for Two

    Recipe Introduction

Cooking for two people is so difficult if you are used to a family of four or more. It takes a lot of adjustment to learn how to cut down on quantities. Some people find that there are days when you just can't be bothered and fall into the pattern of having a sandhich or something small instead. We all know that this is not a healthy way to eat. I hope this post will help you get back into gear again.
Large frying pan with good lid.

Brown two pieces of meat: porkchops, sausages, chicken breasts, simmer steak, whatever.

Add two cups of cold water to pan.

Keep heat on high all the while.

Cut up medium onion into chunks over meat in the pan.

Peel four small carrots and lay over meat.

Peel one medium potato, cut into quarters and lay over meat.

Heat is still on high and water is beginning to simmer.

Season everything with salt, pepper and perhaps garlic powder.

Put lid on pan and wait til it steams.

Turn heat down and simmer for 45 minutes. (Do not lift lid)

Remove all food from pan and make quick gravy out of remaining juices.

    Optional: Serve with small salad

This can be made with almost any meat and almost any kind of veggy. It's ready in 45 minutes, there's only one pan to wash up and best of all, there are no leftovers!
