    My Bread Pudding

Okay everyone this is another one of those recipes that I do not have exact measurements for but you are not to worry it turns out well no matter what.

First take a 9x13x2" pan and grease it very well.

Now take a cup of raisins and soak them in warm water to plump them. (these are optional)

Next start tearing bread up into about 1" pieces.
Mound the bread up in the pan. I say this because it puffs up but, collapses kinda Like a souffle that you messed up LOL.

Now in a large bowl mix 1 quart of whole milk and 5 slightly beaten eggs together until well mixed. Add 1 generous cup of sugar, mix well. Add 1 t. vanilla, 1 t. ground cinnamon, a dash of nutmeg and mix again. Don't worry if the cinnamon floats that is okay.

Pour the egg mixture over the bread pieces. Push the bread down and make sure it is all covered well. If it seems too dry pour a little extra milk into it.

Bake in a pre heated 350 degree oven for about 1 hour 15 minutes. But, since ovens vary check after one hour by inserting a knife into the center if it comes out clean your bread pudding is done.

Cool, cut into squares, and serve with whipped cream or a good brandy sauce. Enjoy!!!
