    Home Made Italian Sausage

    I was taught how to make this from my gram who was an Italian. I know my family loves it I hope yours does too.

    2 pound pork butt roast
    2 cloves garlic crushed
    1 t. fennel seed
    1 t. basil
    1 t. oregano.
    1/4 to 1/2 t. crushed red pepper flakes

    Grind your pork and add the other ingredients to the pork.
    Add 1 c. water for mixing this. blend all the ingredients until thouroughly blended.

    If you wish to make sausages in the casings you will need to buy a sausage stuffing instrament and hog casings but....
    you can make patties just as easily and serve it as an Italian pizza burger( add either mozzarella or provalone cheese, some pizza or spaghetti sauce). Or make an Italian omlet for breakfast. Or use it in your spaghetti sauce.
