Wings: Angela's Spicy Buffalo Wings

Recipe Introduction
Treat yourself and your friends to a batch of these fiery wings. Serve with a cool ranch dipping sauce and plenty of beer for the best tailgating treat yet.
List of Ingredients
* 2 1/2 pounds chicken wing pieces (wings already cut)
* 2 teaspoons salt
* 3/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
* 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
* 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
* 1 cup all-purpose flour
* Vegetable oil
* Spicy Buffalo Sauce (recipe below)
* Cool Ranch Sauce (recipe below)
* Celery sticks
Recipe
1. Sprinkle wings with salt and next 3 ingredients. Dredge in flour, shaking to remove excess.
2. Pour oil to depth of 2 inches into a large deep skillet; heat to 350°. Fry wings, in batches, 3 to 4 minutes on each side or until done. Drain on a wire rack over paper towels. Toss wings in Spicy Buffalo Sauce; serve immediately with Cool Ranch Sauce and celery sticks.
---Spicy Buffalo Sauce---
Ingredients
* 1 (8-oz.) can tomato sauce
* 1 (5-oz.) bottle hot sauce
* 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon sugar
* 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Preparation
Cook tomato sauce, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, sugar, and pepper in a saucepan over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes or until slightly thickened.
Note: We tested with Cholula Original Hot Sauce.
YIELD: Makes 1 1/4 cups
---Cool Ranch Sauce---
Ingredients
* 1/2 cup mayonnaise
* 1/2 cup sour cream
* 1/4 cup buttermilk
* 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
* 1/4 teaspoon lemon zest
* 2 teaspoons lemon juice
* 1 garlic clove, minced
* Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, chopped fresh chives, lemon zest, lemon juice, minced garlic, and salt and pepper to taste until smooth.
YIELD: 1 1/4 Cups
