    List of Ingredients

    Hair Care Tip BY BECKY
I use jojoba oil (you can get it at a health store, pretty cheap too!). I massage it into my scalp, leave it on for ten minutes, and then shampoo it out. I do it once a week when its winter time because my scalp gets really dry. Also works great as a moisturizer. :)
    Hair Darkening/Lightening Naturally BY BABYGNGST
    I love your site!!!!!!

If you want to lighten your hair, take lemon juice (store bought or your own) and pour into spray bottle. Spritz on hair and sit outside for 30 minutes. If you want to darken your hair, take cranberry juice and pour into spray bottle. Spritz on hair and sit outside for 30 minutes.

Rinse For Blonde Hair - BY JENNIFER H
A good rinse for blonde/light brown hair is:

    1/2 cup vodka
    1/2 cup lemon juice
    1 cup chamomile tea

Wet hair, pour mixture on, leave on for 1 - 2 hours (applying heat makes hair softer and highlights more visible).

I quit coloring my hair 2 years ago and have had great results keeping my hair blonde by using this mixture 2 to 3 times a month.

For Really Clean Hair - BY GIRL794406
To get really clean hair just shampoo, but only once in a while and to get really smooth hair just condition.
Oily Hair - BY ASHLEY C
If your hair is a bit greasy pat some baby powder into it. Use only if you are blonde or else it looks like you have silver hair.

Cold Water Shine - BY SUGARGIRL98o
I heard that if you rinse your hair with cold water for about 30 seconds after a shower it makes your hair healthier looking.

Colorant For Gray Hair - BY MARGE O
For two weeks I have been using the "Rosemary & Sage Colorant" because I developed a form of dermatitis and the Doctor said to get off all chemicals. I am 69 years old and have a good amount of gray. I experimented with your colorant for gray hair and it is working wonderfully. However I made a few changes as follows: I bought 2 bunches of fresh rosemary and 2 bunches of fresh sage in the fruit and vegetable department of my grocery store. I put them in a small pot and covered them with water. I gently simmered the mix for an hour and then steeped it overnight. I then strained the mix and put it in a spritz bottle in the refrigerator. I have short hair with a little wave. I normally would spritz it with water each morning and shape my hair with an "Air Hot Comb". Now each morning I spritz it with the home mad mixture and rub it in where ever I had gray. It is truly unbelievable that I don't have to use commercial hair dye with all its chemicals. Thanks for the tips.

    Hair Care Tips BY RYDRLESSHORSE
For hair that's is dry or hair that's breaking off, olive oil is a good solution. Before washing or even wetting hair, put about 1/6 - 1/4 cup of olive oil (closer to 1/6 for shorter hair, and closer to 1/4 for longer, thicker hair) on it and work it through from the scalp to the ends. Leave it on for about 10 or 15 minutes. After that, you can shampoo and condition as usual. This works because its very oily, but not the nasty, dirty grease that builds up. It's not heavy at all, but in fact, very thin and loose. It works great for smoothing and moistening dry hair! I do it once a week and it works magnificently!
    Instant Shower BY OLIVIA
In the morning, if you don't have time to take a shower, just put baby powder in your hair, fluff, and brush out. Make sure all the white is gone before you leave!

    Clarify Your Hair BY LREED65
An inexpensive way to clarify your hair is to use your usual shampoo, during the first lather, take a handful of baking soda and work it into the lather thoroughly. Let it set for a few minutes, depending on how much styling buildup you have on your hair. Rinse and shampoo again without baking soda, then condition. The baking soda makes an excellent chelating aid. It is also advisable to clarify at least every two weeks to remove product buildup. Always clarify before doing a deep conditioning treatment. Otherwise you will be conditioning over product buildup which really won't be beneficial. Chelating also removes trace buildup of prescription drugs that buildup in your hair. Treat yourself to a scalp massage, this facilitates healthy hair growth by stimulating the blood supply to you scalp.

Fighting Hair Loss - BY ARSINE G
If you have hair loss, apply aloe vera gel to the roots of your hair.

Shiny Less Frizzy Hair BY MINIME1318
When you take a shower rinse your hair with cold water when you are just about to get out, and if you blow dry your hair use cool air. It may take long but it is worth it!

For Those with the Thick Curly Manes - BY MCGREW
I have discovered, through much trial and tribulation (those of you with this type of hair know what I'm talking about), that the easiest way to deal with my very thick and curly hair is as follows:

Wash normally then after you've put conditioner in your hair, bend over and use your hands to comb out your hair while it's conditioning. Once you're rinsed and out, hold a nice, thick, dry towel around your hair for at least 5 minutes -more if needed. Don't squeeze or scrunch!! It'll just put the knots back in.

Now, the good part: JOJOBA OIL. While your hair is still damp (important!!), put no more that a dime-sized bit of oil in your hand. Rub your hands together and apply to your hair. Try to avoid the scalp are (it'll just get oily looking faster) and finger-comb through lightly.

Now let your hair AIR DRY ONLY -all you curly headed people know you should have thrown out the hair dryer years ago!! You'll have beautiful, soft, shiny curls all over the place that people will rave over! (don't be afraid of a layering haircut either with this method).

That's my 2-cents. I hope it helps - it sure has made my life easier!!!

    Last Minute De-Frizzer - BY SHANNON H
If your about to run out the door, and notice your hair is starting to frizz, run a very small dab of your hand lotion through your hair. This also is a life-saver when your out and about with no hair products in sight.

For Healthy Skin & Gorgeous Hair - BY BRIDGITTE, CAPE TOWN
    For health and vitality:

    - Drink loads of water (preferably mineral or filtered; +-1.5 litres), and eat five portions of fresh fruit and vegetables daily (organic where possible)! Without eating properly and drinking sufficient water, your body's cells cannot regenerate at a healthy pace. Which means your skin will become pallid and prone to breakouts, and your hair will loose its shine. No beauty treatment in this universe is going to work unless you watch what you put into your body. It is all about balance....

-Other good supplements are evening primrose oil/Starflower oil capsules and Spirulina. I find evening primrose makes my hair grow faster and my nails harder. The GLA in these capsules is also brilliant for PMS and those on birth control pills (the pill can cause loss of certain nutrients in your body).

    - Jojoba oil is also really good to use as a hot oil treatment on the hair. Pour a tablespoon into a glass jug, and let it heat gently in a pot of water on the stove. THERE ONLY NEEDS TO BE ABOUT 2 CM WATER IN THE POT!!!! Once oil is warm, remove jug from water, and wait untill it has cooled down slightly. Dont burn yourself!!! Gently message into hair. Start from about 2 cm from roots to prevent hair from going to oily. Wait a minute, then was with a mild shampoo. Wash twice if
necessary (use a PH balanced shampoo)

    * HAVE FUN, ENJOY LIFE, BE YOURSELF : )
There is nothing quite as beautiful as a woman who laughs from the heart and has respect for herself as well as for others!
