    Cocktail: Strawbellini

    Source of Recipe

    Deborah Mele

    Recipe Introduction

" This is my version of the famous Bellini drink found at Harry’s Bar that normally consists of peach nectar and Prosecco. Instead, since Plant City strawberries are flourishing here in Florida, I made a puree of strawberries that I used in place of the peach nectar for a very pretty holiday drink. You could also try your own version with your favorite fresh fruit."

    List of Ingredients

    1 Pint Ripe Fresh Strawberries

    1/4 Cup Sugar

1 Bottle Prosecco Wine, Very Cold

    Recipe

Place the berries in a food processor with the sugar and puree. I like to then place the puree in a metal sieve to remove most of the seeds, but if you don’t mind seeds you can skip that step. Chill the puree until you are ready to serve your drinks.

To serve simply spoon in about 1 1/2 tablespoons of the strawberry puree into your flute glasses. Top this with Prosecco poured in slowly. Serve immediately.
