Liqueur: Black Currant Liqueur

List of Ingredients
1 1/2 cups dried black currants
1 cup granulated sugar
2 cups brandy
1 whole cinnamon stick
3 whole allspice
6 whole cloves
Recipe
Combine all ingredients, except sugar, in aging container.
Stir with wood spoon to combine.
Cover or cap tightly and let age for 2 months in a cool, dark place.
After initial aging, strain off fruit and spices using a colander or wire mesh strainer. Set drained fruit aside.
Pour liqueur back into cleaned aging container, add sugar.
Stir well with wooden spoon to dissolve sugar.
Recap and age at least 2 more months. Shake or stir once in awhile to assist sugar dissolving.
Re-strain through fine strainer or cloth jelly bag to remove any small particles of fruit or spices. when clear, re-bottle and seal.
Ready in 2 1/2 months.
