Biscuits: Baking Powder Biscuits w/Bacon

List of Ingredients
4 bacon strips
1 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon coarse-grind pepper
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
4 to 5 tablespoons milk
Recipe
Fry bacon until crisp. Drain and crumble bacon. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Combine flour, salt, baking powder, sugar and pepper in a bowl. Cut in butter until mixture is in small crumbles. Stir in enough milk to form a slightly sticky dough. Add bacon.
Divide batter into 4 portions and drop onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Gently pat into 4 rounds, each 1 inch high. Bake in preheated oven 18 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and cool on wire rack for 5 minutes. Serve warm.
Makes 2 servings.
