Sweet: Banana Bread

sift together:
2 cups plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Blend in a blender:
1 1/2 cups bananas
1/2 cup butter
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup milk with 1 tsp. vinegar added
or 1/2 cup buttermilk
2 eggs
Topping:
2 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. hot water
2 tsp. lemon juice
1 cup powdered sugar
add later:
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Instructions: Combine the sifted mixture with the blended mixture, beating by hand. Add 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Pour into 2 large or 4 small greased loaf pans. Bake 35 - 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Add topping when cooled: drizzle over bread.
