    3 large eggs, separated
    1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 cups milk
    1/2 cup LAND O LAKES® Fresh Buttery Taste™ Spread, melted
    2 tablespoons granulated sugar
    1 tablespoon baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    2 tablespoons honey
    2 teaspoons freshly grated lemon peel

    Toppings Ingredients:
    LAND O LAKES® Fresh Buttery Taste™ Spread
    Maple syrup
    Sweetened whipped cream
    Fresh or frozen fruit (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, etc.), thawed

    Heat waffle iron to medium-high heat.

    Beat egg yolks using wire whisk or rotary beater in large bowl until light yellow color (1 to 2 minutes). Stir in all remaining waffle ingredients except egg whites just until moistened.

    Beat egg whites in small mixer bowl at high speed, scraping bowl often, until stiff peaks form (1 to 1 1/2 minutes). Gently stir beaten egg whites into waffle mixture. Bake according to waffle iron directions or until golden brown. Repeat with remaining batter. Serve waffles with Fresh Buttery Taste™ Spread, syrup, whipped cream or fresh fruit, if desired.

    Makes 4 servings.
