Bars: Ann's Chocolate Caramel Bars

List of Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups flour, divided
- 2 cups quick cooking oats
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 cups cold unsalted butter
- 2 cups (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 jar (12 oz.) caramel ice cream topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degress. Grease 13" x 9" x 2" baking pan.
- In a bowl, combine 2 cups flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly. Set half of the mixture aside for the topping.
- Press remaining crumb mixture into greased pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
- Sprinkle with chocolate chips and pecans.
- Whisk caramel topping and remaining flour (1/4 cup) until smooth; drizzle over the top. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on wire rack for at least 2 hours before cutting.
Final Comments
YIELD: About 4 1/2 dozen.
