    Recipe Introduction

Bring these mix-easy, sweet and salty, gooey and crunchy bars to a potluck, and you’re bound to go home with an empty pan!

    List of Ingredients

1 box Betty Crocker® SuperMoist® yellow cake mix
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
    1 egg
    3 cups miniature marshmallows
    1 cup butterscotch chips
    1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
    6 cups Rice Chex® cereal
    2 cups salted dry-roasted peanuts

    Recipe

Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). In large bowl, stir together dry cake mix, butter and egg. Press in ungreased 15x10x1-inch pan. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Sprinkle with marshmallows. Bake 3 to 5 minutes or until marshmallows puff.

In large microwavable bowl, microwave butterscotch and chocolate chips uncovered on Medium-High (70%) 1 minute; stir. Microwave 1 to 2 minutes longer, stirring every 30 seconds, until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in cereal and peanuts.

Immediately spoon cereal mixture over hot marshmallow layer. Let stand about 1 hour or until cool and set. For bars, cut into 10 rows by 6 rows. Store loosely covered.

    YIELD: 60 Bars
