    Bars: Chocolate-Raspberry Treat Bars

    List of Ingredients




    1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
    2 squares unsweetened chocolate
    2 eggs
    1 cup sugar
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 cup flour
    1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    1/8 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup Smucker's Red Raspberry Preserves
    1/2 cup toasted coconut

    Recipe



    Melt butter and chocolate over very low heat; cool slightly. Meanwhile, beat eggs until thick and foamy. Gradually beat in sugar. Stir in chocolate mixture. Add vanilla, flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix thoroughly. Turn batter into a greased 9-inch square baking pan. Bake at 350° F for 25 minutes. Cool slightly. Spread preserves on top of cake while still warm and sprinkle with coconut. Cut into bars.

    Makes 24 bars.
