    Bars: Cranberry-Walnut Bars

    List of Ingredients




    1 cup butter
    1 cup brown sugar, packed
    2 large eggs
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    3/4 teaspoon baking soda
    2 cups flour
    dash salt
    1 1/4 cup walnuts; chopped (divided use)
    1/2 cup dried cranberries
    1/2 cup white chocolate chips

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.


    Butter and line with parchment a 13" x 9" pan.


    Beat together butter and sugar until creamy.


    Beat in eggs and vanilla.


    Add in flour and baking soda mixing just until combined.


    Fold in 3/4 cup walnuts and dried cranberries.


    Press dough into the prepared pan and lightly press the remaining 1/2 cup of walnuts into the top.


    Bake for 25-30 minutes until light golden brown and set.


    Remove from oven and cool to room temperature.


    Place the white chocolate in a microwave safe bowl, microwave on high for 20 seconds, stir and return to microwave in 5 second increments until melted and smooth.


    Drizzle the melted which chocolate over the top of the bars.


    Slice the cookies into 1" x 2" bars.
