    List of Ingredients




    1/2 cup margarine
    1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
    1 cup flour
    1/4 cup lemon juice
    1/2 cup sugar
    2 eggs, separated
    1 can Eagle brand milk
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 1/2 cups cherries
    1/2 cup diced black walnuts

    Recipe



    Blend margarine, powdered sugar and egg yolks.
    Mix in flour. Press and flatten mixture in ungreased 9- by 13-inch pan.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

    Blend milk, vanilla, lemon juice. Stir in cherries. In small mixing bowl, beat egg whites until stiff. Beat in sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time.
    Continue beating until stiff and glossy. Do not underbeat. Spread cherry mix over warm crust.
    Carefully spread meringue over cherry mix. Sprinkle nuts on top and bake in 350-degree oven for 15 minutes.
    Cut in small bars while warm. Refrigerate.
