Recipe Introduction
These cake-like brownies are delish. I used all butterscotch chips (no chocololate chips) and walnuts.
List of Ingredients
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, room temperature
2/3 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
2/3 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2/3 cup evaporated milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnutsRecipe
Preheat oven to 375°. Grease a 13x9x2-inch baking pan and lightly dust with flour.
Into a bowl, sift flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a mixing bowl, beat together butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each addition. Beat in evaporated milk and vanilla.
With mixer at low speed, beat in sifted dry ingredients, a little at a time, until well blended. Fold in chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and chopped nuts.
Spread batter in prepared pan. Bake at 375° for about 25 minutes, or until blondies are golden brown. A toothpick inserted in center should come out almost clean. Cool blondies completely in pan on rack.
Cut blondies into squares to serve.
