Brownies: Truffle Brownies

1/4 cup cocoa powder
2/3 cup unsalted butter
1 oz bittersweet chocolate
1 cup white sugar
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
6 x 1/2 oz truffles, cut in half and frozen Recipe
Preheat oven to 325°.
Butter an 8” (20.3 cm) square pan and set aside.
In the top of a double boiler, over medium heat, melt the cocoa, butter and chocolate.
When melted, remove the bowl from the heat and whisk in the sugar.
Whisk in the eggs.
Stir in the flour until the batter is smooth.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and drop the pan several times on the counter to remove air bubbles.
Drop the 12 truffle halves on top of the batter, in the center of what will be each square.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
Cool the brownies completely in the pan, cut into squares and serve.
