Brownies: Brownies with Peanut Butter Topping

List of Ingredients
1 cup All-purpose flour -- sifted
3/4 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
1/4 teaspoon Salt
3/4 cup Butter (1 1/2 sticks)
1 1/2 cups Light brown sugar -- firmly
packed
3 Eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 cup Unsalted peanuts -- chopped
1 package Peanut butter chips -- (12 oz)
Recipe
Preheat oven to moderate (350~F). Sift, flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt onto wax paper.
Beat butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla in a medium size bowl with electric mixer until fluffy.
Stir in dry ingredients; beat until smooth. Fold in 1/2 cup of the chopped nuts.
Pour into greased 13x9x2 inch baking pan. Bake in preheated moderate oven (350~F) for 30 minutes.
Remove from oven to wire rack; sprinkle with peanut butter chips. Let stand about 5 minutes, then spread evenly with a small metal spatula.
Sprinkle with remaining nuts, patting down gently. Cool; cut into bars.
