    Spirited: Champagne Cake

    List of Ingredients

    1 box white cake mix
    Chilled bottle of flat champagne
    1 box (3.5 oz) instant vanilla pudding
    2 C. heavy cream (divided)
    1 C. cold milk

    Recipe

    Prepare cake mix as directed on box, instead of water use 1 1/3 c. of the champagne. Bake as directed and cool. Put into pans to make a 2 layer cake.


    Mix pudding mix and 1 cup of the heavy cream and the mix until it starts to thicken.

    Add 1/4 C. of the champagne ( a little at a time while mixing) Let it stand them for a few minutes to thicken. Spread filling mixture between layers of cake.


    Whip the other 1 C. of heavy cream and tint a pink color using red food coloring. Frost cake.
