Chocolate: Chocolate Applesauce Cake

List of Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 3/4 c. applesauce
2 c. flour
2 tsp. Soda
1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
1/4 tsp. Cloves
1/4 tsp. Allspice
3 tbsp. Cocoa
1 tbsp. Cornstarch
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. nuts, chopped



Recipe

Sift dry ingredients. Add to creamed shortening and sugar, alternatively with applesauce. Sift cornstarch over nuts and raisins; add to batter.

Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until done, in a 13 x 9 inch pan.
