Spice: Cocoa Spice Cake

1/4 cup butter, melted
3/4 cup applesauce
1 egg white
1/4 cup cocoa powder, sifted
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt



Recipe

Preheat oven at 350. Spray a 9" square pan with cooking spray.

In a mixing bowl, combine butter, applesauce and egg white. In another mixing bowl, combine cocoa powder, flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Mix wet ingredients with dry ingredients just until moistened. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 30 -35 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.

Serve plain, with whipped cream, or with your favorite icing.
