    Gingerbread: Sour Cream Gingerbread

    List of Ingredients


    1 cup maple syrup
    1 cup sour cream
    1 egg, lightly beaten
    2-1/3 cups self-rising flour
    1-1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
    1/4 cup shortening, melted
    Confectioners’ sugar icing

    Recipe


    Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 10-inch Bundt pan with non-stick vegetable spray. In a large mixing bowl, stir syrup, sour cream and egg until well blended.

    Stir in flour and ginger. Add shortening; beat for 2 minutes.

    Pour into prepared Bundt pan.

    Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until a tester inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack.

    Invert onto a serving plate.


    Drizzle with confectioners’ sugar icing.
