    List of Ingredients




    1 package Betty Crocker® SuperMoist® cake mix (any flavor)
    Water, oil and eggs called for on cake mix package
    1 1/2 tubs Betty Crocker® Rich & Creamy or Whipped ready-to-spread frosting (any flavor)
    Flower stencil
    Assorted colored sugar
    Food color

    Recipe



    1. Heat oven to 350ºF. Grease bottoms only of 2 round pans, 8x1 1/2 or 9x1 1/2 inches. Make cake mix as directed on package, using water, oil and eggs. Pour into pans.
    2. Bake as directed on package or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans to wire rack. Cool completely, about 1 hour.
    3. Reserve 1/4 cup of the frosting. Place 1 cake layer, rounded side down, on serving plate. Spread with about 1/3 cup frosting. Place other layer, rounded side up, on top. Frost side and top of cake with remaining frosting.
    4. Position stencil on top of cake. Sprinkle colored sugars over stencil, being careful not to mix colors or get sugar on other areas of cake surface; remove stencil. Tint reserved 1/4 cup frosting with 2 drops of desired food color. Place frosting in decorating bag with writing tip #4. Pipe desired message on cake. Pipe design on edge of plate if desired.




    High Altitude (3500-6500 ft)
    Do not use 8-inch pans. Make cake mix following high altitude directions on package.
