1- 14oz can diced tomatoes, undrained
1 cup water
3 tbsp quick-cooking tapioca, small pearl
2 tsp sugar
2 lbs lean beef stew meat, cut into 1" cubes
4 med. carrots, cut into 1" chunks
3 med. potatoes, peeled & cubed
2 celery ribs, cubed
1 med. onion, cubed
1 slice of bread, cubed
Recipe
In a large bowl combine the tomatoes, water, tapioca & sugar. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Pour into a greased 9"x13" or 3 qt baking dish. Cover & bake at 375F for 1-3/4 to 2 hours or until meat & vegetables are tender.
