Recipe Introduction

Nancy Frangione and I went to high school together and shared the role of Kate in "Kiss, Me Kate." Nancy continued with her acting career and replaced the original Tara in the soap opera, All My Children. Her mother, Doris, used to make this dish for supper and I just had to get it from her.

List of Ingredients

2 10 ounce packages of frozen broccoli spears
2 cups sliced cooked, chicken or 3 chicken breasts, cooked and boned
2 10 ½ ounce cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 Tbls. white cooking wine
2 ounces sharp cheddar cheese ( ½ cup )
1 cup bread crumbs
1 tablespoon of melted butter



Recipe

Defrost frozen broccoli.
Arrange stalks in buttered12x7½ x 2 inch baking dish. Layer chicken on top.
Combine next 4 ingredients - heat in saucepan over medium heat; pour over chicken. Sprinkle with cheese. Combine crumbs and butter; sprinkle over all. Bake at 350 degrees about 35 minutes or till heated.
