Pepper Steak with Rice

When I went to visit Mike in California, Jean made this for dinner one night and I was able to get the recipe. I've served it to my husband, Bill and it's one of his favs.
List of Ingredients
SERVE OVER 3 CUPS OF COOKED RICE OR BISCUITS
1 lb. lean beef round steak cut into 2"x3" strips
1 Tblsp. paprika
2 Tblsp. butter
1 Tblsp. garlic salt
1 1/2 cups beef broth (1 small can)
1/2 onion, chopped
2 medium green peppers cut into strips
2 Tblsp. cornstarch
1/4 cup water
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 large fresh tomatoes cut into eighths
1 small can of whole mushrooms, drained
Recipe
Sprinkle paprika on beef strips and let stand for 5 minutes. Using a large skillet, brown meat in butter. Add garlic salt and broth. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Stir in onions and green peppers. Cover and cook for 5 minutes. In a small glass dish blend, cornstarch, water and soy sauce. Stir into meat mixture. Cook, stirring until clear and thick - about 2 minutes. Add tomatoes and stir gently. Serve over rice or biscuits.
