Ed Asner's Cream of Carrot Soup

List of Ingredients
4 carrots, sliced (one cup)
1 medium onion, sliced
1 stalk celery w/leaves, sliced
1 teaspoon salt
Generous pinch cayenne pepper
1/2 cup cooked rice
3/4 cup cream
Pimiento Recipe
Place carrots, onion, celery and 1/2 cup of chicken stock in saucepan, bring to boil, cover and reduce heat to simmer for 15 minutes.
Put into blender jar and add salt, cayenne and rice. Cover. Turn motor on high. Remove cover and, with motor running, pour in remaining stock and cream.
Chill and serve garnished with sliced pimiento.
Serves 6.
