Ed Asner's Stuffed Burgers

List of Ingredients
1 Cup Cornbread, crumbled
4 Tbsp Onion, chopped fine
2 Tbsp Celery, chopped fine
1 Tsp Seasoning salt
1/2 Tsp Sage
3/4 Cup Mushroom gravy
1/2 Cup Butter
2 lb Lean ground beef
8 oz Tomato sauce
1 Tsp Worcestershire sauce
Recipe
Saute onions and celery in butter. Add cornbread, salt, sage, and 4 tbls mushroom gravy and cook for about 2 minutes. Divide the ground beef into six patties. Salt and pepper to taste. Place cornbread mixture in the center of each pattie. Bring edges together and mash to seal. Place in baking dish. Combine tomato sauce, worcestershire sauce, 1/2 cup mushroom gravy, & salt and pepper to taste. Pour over burgers and bake for 45 minutes or until done at 350~.
Serves 6.
