2 eggs
1 stick softened butter
2 cups flour
1-1/2 tbsp orange rind
3/4 Half and Half (light cream)
2 tbsp Grand Manier
1/4 teaspoon Salt
7 ozs. chopped semi-sweet chocolate
1 tbsp Baking Powder

Recipe
Grease and flour a 9"x5"x3"bread pan. Preheat oven to 350 F.
Gradually add sugar to butter; beat until light and fluffy. Add the eggs; beat well at low speed. Continue beating adding the orange rinds and 1 tbsp of the Grand Manier. Blend in the half and half and don't worry if you see some curdling.
In a separate bowl mix the flour, salt and backing soda. Add to the butter mixture stirring gently to combine the ingredients. Mix in the nuts and 4 ozs. of the chocolate. Pour the batter into the loaf pan. Bake for an hour until the loaf turns golden brown.
Let the loaf cool. Place the remaining 3 ozs. of chocolate the tbsp of water and the remaining tbsp of Grand Manier into a sauce pan. Heat gently stirring constantly until evenly melted. Coat the top of the loaf with the chocolate sauce and let cool.
