List of Ingredients
5 cups of flour
10 tsp. of baking powder
1 cup sugar, white
5 eggs
1 1/2 sticks of butter or margarine
1 bottle anise extract plus 1/2 bottle of anise for icing of cookies
Recipe
Add to flour mixture then add butter & anise. Mix well. Put on floured board & make a big ball. Take a handful & roll to thickness desired about 4-5 inches long, cut into rounds. Bake 12 to 15 min. or until brown.
Icing:
1/2 box Confectioners sugar
1/2 stick melted butter
1/2 bottle anise extract
colored sugars for decorations or color dough with food coloring.
Dip each cookie & let dry. Can be frozen.
