1 large egg, slightly beaten
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. almond extract
1 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 cups flour
various cookie cutters
Recipe
Cream butter and sugar, a slighly beaten egg, vanill and almond extract.
Measure flour after sifting, add baking soda and cream of tartar. Stir into creamed mixture.
Chill for 2-3 hours or overnight.
Roll out on a lighlty powdered board until dough is 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick (depending if you like crisp or soft cookies.) Cut and place on cookie sheet.
Bake for 7-9 minutes at 350 degrees.
