List of Ingredients




4 cups sifted flour
1 /2 tsp. baking soda
4 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. salt
2 cups chipped walnuts
2 lbs. dates, pitted and chopped
2 cups sugar
1 cup butter
3 eggs, separated
3 tbsp. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla


Recipe



In a large bowl combine dry ingredients. Stir in dates and nuts. In large mixing bowl cream butter and sugar together. Add edd yolks, sour cream and vanilla and mix unitl light and fluffy. Beat egg whites until soft peaks form and fold into creamed mixture. Gentley stir flour mixture into creamed mixture. Drop by tablespoons onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees until golden brown, 11-13 minutes.
