Brer Rabbit Molasses Cookies

List of Ingredients
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
3/4 cup Brer Rabbit Molasses
1 egg beaten
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl, blend flour, sugar, soda, salt and spices.
Melt shortening over low heat, cool slightly. Add cooled shortening, Brer Rabbit Molasses and eggs beating at medium speed of mixer until all is well blended.
Chill for 30 minutes. Roll out on flour coverd board until 1/4 inch thick.
Cut with desired cutter. Place on parchment lined cookie sheet to bake. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
Remove from tray and cool.
