Crushed Mint Cookies

What to do with leftover candy canes or even starlight candies? Both chewy and crunchy in the same cookie.
List of Ingredients
1/4 cup crushed candy cane or starlight peppermints
3 TBS. powdered sugar, rounded
1 cup butter, softened
2 cups all-purpose flour
Recipe
Crush candy canes using plastic bags and hammer. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl mix all ingredients with pastry blender or low speed on hand mixer until hold shapes or small 'pea' shapes form. Using teaspoon shape into balls and bake on ungreased cookie sheet. (Airbake work best)
Bake for 12-15 minutes or till edges golden. Cookies flatten slightly. Remove immediately with plastic spatula, cool on rack. Try to work quickly because the candy inside the cookies will come off on spatula and immediately harden. (May have to work with warm metal spatula if this happens.)
YIELD: 2 Dozen
