    1 Cup butter, softened
    1 Cup powdered sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. PURE VANILLA EXTRACT
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 TB. ANISE SEEDS
    21/4 Cups flour

    Recipe



    Cream together the butter and powdered sugar until fluffy. Add the egg and VANILLA and mix well. Add the salt, ANISE SEEDS, and flour and mix thoroughly. Chill for one hour.
    Preheat oven to 400°. Roll the dough out to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut with a scalloped or other simple shaped cookie cutter. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets for 5-8 minutes.

    Prep. time: 10 minutes plus chilling time
    Baking time: 5-8 minutes
    Yield: 3 dozen cookies
