    Oatmeal: Pride of Iowa Cookies

    150 years of Good Iowa Cooking Cookbook - posted to rc by shubbie74

    List of Ingredients


    1 cup brown sugar
    1 cup white sugar
    1 cup shortening
    2 eggs
    1 cup coconut
    3 cups uncooked oatmeal
    2 cups flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 cup chopped nuts

    Recipe

    Mix in order given. Roll into balls and put on cookie sheet.

    Press down with a fork.

    Bake 375 F. 9 minutes.
