    List of Ingredients




    3 cups (750 mL) all purpose flour
    1 tbsp (15 mL) baking powder
    1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt
    1 can (300 mL) Regular or Low Fat Eagle Brand®
    3/4 cup (175 mL) butter, softened
    2 eggs
    2 tsp (10 mL) vanilla or lemon extract
    Ready-to-spread frosting

    Recipe



    Combine flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.

    In large mixer bowl, beat Eagle Brand, butter, eggs and vanilla until well blended. Add dry ingredients; mix well.

    On floured surface, lightly knead dough to form a smooth ball. Divide into thirds.

    On well-floured surface, roll out each portion to 1/8-inch (3 mm) thickness. Cut with floured cookie cutter.

    Place cookies 1 inch (2.5 cm) apart on greased baking sheets. Bake at 350 ºF (180 ºC) 7-9 min. or until lightly browned around edges.

    Cool thoroughly. Frost and decorate as desired with ready-to-spread frosting.

    Store loosely covered at room temperature.

    YIELD: About 6 Dozen Cookies
