Oatmeal: Grandma Story's Soft Oatmeal Cookies

List of Ingredients

2 c. rolled oats
1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. raisins & nuts
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda



Recipe

Heat shortening and oatmeal together for a few minutes. Add sugar. Add well beaten eggs and milk alternately with remaining dry ingredients. Add raisins and nuts last. Drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake about 10 minutes at 400 degrees.
